Gracie has a very nice easy going personality. She is the quintessential family hunting dog. She is just as content on the couch as she is fired up to go afield. She has hunted grouse, woodcock, wild pheasant and waterfowl. She is a natural backer and retriever. Gracie and Smokey are gentle with our grandchildren and have been a joy to our family. Smokey is a Prize II NAVHDA Utility dog. He loves to be with me every minute he is in the house. In one three day period, Smokey had several grouse, woodcock, wild pheasants and ducks shot over him. Both dogs have a natural close to medium range and are easy to handle. This breeding will produce outstanding family/gun dogs for the foot hunter. We hunt pheasants in Iowa or South Dakota every fall.
