Spring 2011 Litter

We have a litter planned for the spring of 2011. The sire, Smokey and the Dam, Gracie are our personal family/ gun dogs. Gracie is forty-eight pounds, liver and white with a sweet disposition in the home. She will often sneak into our bed at night or into the bed of our grandchildren when they visit. In the field she is a medium to close working dog with tenacious bird finding ability. She has proven herself on wild South Dakota pheasants as well as grouse and woodcock in Michigan. In addition, she has shown her versatility by finding and retrieving Canada Geese. Gracie is three years old and has just begun her guiding career.

Smokey, seven years old, is a proven hunter in the uplands as well as on waterfowl. He has produced some outstanding pups that have carried on his traits of determination in the field as well as making wonderful family pets. He has been used for several years to guide hunts at a nearby preserve. Both dogs have had hips and elbows x-rayed. We consider all aspects of a dog’s personality and temperament in the home as well as their natural hunting abilities and instincts before breeding. This breeding promises to produce some very nice pups for hunting and the home. You may contact us for copies of their pedigrees.
